Pinterest is one social media platform that  you cannot afford to ignore. Since its launch back in 2010, Pinterest has grown to a total of 10.4 million total number of  users and the majority of these users are women who make up 97% of the site’s demographic. According to Pew research,  16% of American Internet users are on twitter while 15% are on Pinterest. That’s only a 1% difference!

Pinterest Group Boards can help you tap into the scores of users who  use the platform every day. A group board is a Pinterest board that you and other people that you invite can add pins to. They’re also a great way for you to grow the reach of your blog posts and network with others in your niche. If done right, group boards can do wonders for helping you get more exposure and gain a greater following on social media.

3 Benefits of Using Group Boards

1. Boosts Your Followers – Many users choose to follow all members in a particular group board. If this happens, it will drastically improve the number of people who are following you. This is a win/win leading to greater exposure, engagement and brand awareness.

2. Drives Inbound Traffic to Your Blog or Website – Since group boards can increase your followers, it’s more likely that their followers will see your content and repin it as well. This increases the chance of your site getting more click throughs and more visitors. This will lead to more people subscribing, more leads and more clients!

3. Helps You Work Smarter and Not Harder –  Let’s face it, Pinterest is one time consuming platform. But, if you manage your group boards effectively, you can basically have your Pinterest strategy on auto-pilot. People will soon be pinning for you across many different networks.

I need to work harder on my Pinterest group board. And maybe find some new ones. It seems like it’s hard to find “lifestyle” group boards but maybe I’m not looking hard enough 🙂 Great advice!

I am trying to repin more on my group boards. Before I was just pinning new pins but now I was told to go in and repin from those group boards to other boards. It is so confusing.
